In 2014, a team of English teachers, researchers, and software developers set out to improve literacy rates for students on a grand scale. CommonLit was born. Our innovative approach leverages technology to support teachers with the tools they need to deliver effective literacy instruction every day. Today, teachers all over the world rely on CommonLit for free, high-quality reading materials that they otherwise wouldn't be able to access.

This giving season, we're asking for your support to keep the site free for teachers. Free content drives equity in education. Keeping CommonLit free is core to our mission of preparing every child with the reading and writing skills they need to be successful in life.
