We keep charitable dollars in the community and support initiatives and nonprofits that meet pressing needs in the region such as food access, early childhood education & development, and aging in place. Our scholarship program helps area students reach their full potential, creates a talented and skilled workforce, and cultivates future community leaders.      

When you donate directly to the Community Foundation, your funds support the Alleghany Highlands Unrestricted Grants Fund which supports not for profits in the region through an annual application process.  You can also direct your donation to our scholarships serving Allegany and Covington High School or The Boys Home of Covington Agency Endowment which are administered by the Community Foundation.
