Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto Inc

Our mission to provide transformative legal services to diverse communities in East Palo Alto and beyond. Our mission is implemented through three strategic programs.

• Our Economic Advancement transforms the lives of over 300 residents a year through a variety of services designed to help residents overcome barriers to economic advancement including small business work, reentry services and workers' rights.
• Our Immigration program transforms over 3500 immigrant lives annually who are seeking better lives, allowing children and families a chance at safety, security, and a thriving future. 
• Our Housing program transforms the lives of over 500 residents a year who are seeking to improve living conditions, combat unlawful abuses, and prevent homelessness and the displacement of a diverse low-income community. 

Our programs also provide community presentations to an additional 1500 residents each year.

We leverage our resources by recruiting and training volunteer who donate their services to our community. We work with law firms like DLA Piper, Fenwick & West, Latham & Watkins, Morrison & Foerster, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, and Goodwin Proctor and corporations like Cisco, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google. Last year, nearly 29,000 hours of services were donated, a market value of over $8 million. Our work has been featured in the media including Univision, the San Mateo Daily Journal, the Silicon Valley Business Journal, and the Palo Alto Weekly.
