Community Ministries of Rockville

Community Ministries of Rockille operates five programs that provide basic services to residents Montgomery County.  The most recent program is the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic.  The Clinic, which opened in 2009 treats low income uninsured residents of Montgomery County and is repsonsible for treating the County's homeless women. There are over 120,000 uninsured residents living in Montgomery County.  The Clinic can help close the gap for those without access to health care.  And our staff provides more than just health care.  We provide a safety network for our patients. 

Housed within the Clinic is CMR's Emergency Assistance Office.  REAP provides emergency assistance to people coping with financial crisis.  Their utilities have been terminated or they facing eviction.  REAP also provides referrals for food, clothing, vision and dental care and for prescription assistance.  The number of people in need of referrals has increased dramatically.  The two programs work closely together to ensure that clients and patients receive comprehensive assistance.

The Latino Outreach Program offers ESOL and English Spanish Literacy classes in a family setting in several locations throughout the community.  Adult students are enrolled with their children to provide them with the comfort level that their children will be well cared for while they study.  Infant and child care is provided, as well as tutoring for school age children and mentoring for young teens. 

Elderly Ministries cares for the elderly residents in the community through two programs: Homehealthcare and the Safe and Habitable Home Project.  Food deliveries and homecare visits are arranged for clients.  Volunteers provide home repairs that allow residents to remain in their home and avoid premature institutionalization.

Finally, our housing program offers a home to men who have successfully completed drug and or alcohol related programs but who are not able to live on their own.
