Community Nursing Services

At CNS we believe that no one should die alone. Our Charitable Care Hospice Program provides free hospice care to Utahns who lack insurance, are underinsured or don't have the means to pay out of pocket. Hospice care includes nurse visits, all medications, home medical equipment, respite and companion services, spiritual care and when needed, help navigating the legalities of the end of life. We even have a harpist on staff who plays at the bedside of our hospice patients.

CNS was established in 1928 and is Utah's oldest nonprofit home health and hospice provider. Today, CNS provides a variety of essentail health care services, including home health care, hospice care, immunizations and flu shots, oxygen and specialty infusion medications. With offices from Logan to St. George, CNS services are accessible by more than 93% of Utahns.

CNS is committed to caring for Utahns, regardless of ability to pay. We assist our patients, their family members and caregivers during illness and we provide caring support through the end of life process.

The CNS Charitable Care Program serves low-income, uninsured and underinsured patients of all ages, from tiny premature babies to centenarians.  

CNS accepts all Medicaid patients, unlike many for-profit providers that do not accept Medicaid due to lower reimbursement rates.
