Thank you to our generous donors who helped us reach our $5,000 goal before September 9th. We have increased our goal to $10,000 ... together, we can help even more of our neighbors in need!
Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit organization in Encinitas which serves North County San Diego. People who are hungry, homeless and hurting in our community can rely upon CRC to walk with them through hard times and give them the tools they need to provide a pathway to a brighter future.
By supporting CRC, you are helping improve the lives of thousands, whether they are domestic violence victims facing an urgent crisis, parents facing a devastating job loss, homeless veterans with nowhere to sleep at night or kids who otherwise wouldn’t get a special holiday experience with their family.
All of CRC’s programs are designed to assist participants to successfully navigate their paths of safety, stability and self-sufficiency. For more information, please visit crcncc.org.
Feeding the Hungry: Each month, hundreds of households - seniors, unsheltered individuals and struggling families - receive healthy food and accessed nutrition education and consultations at our Food & Nutrition Center. Housing the Homeless: CRC assists unsheltered individuals and those who are at risk of becoming unsheltered with housing, resources, rental assistance, financial education and individualized support. In 2020, 475 individuals found safe housing through our intervention programs, domestic violence shelter and transitional units. CRC also held 3,655 case management sessions, providing participants with financial, housing and career resources.
Healing the Hurting: Families and individuals escaping domestic violence find safety and healing through our emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, domestic violence education, Therapeutic Children’s Center and legal advocacy. In 2020, CRC responded to 2,012 calls to our 24-hour domestic violence hotline, provided domestic violence education to 3,278 people and provided compassionate care during 1,341 counseling sessions.
