Autism Connections believes in a culture of inclusion for everyone in our community. With 1 in 68 children diagnosed with autism, it is estimated that 4,800 families are supporting a loved one on the spectrum in western Massachusetts. As the regions’s only Autism Center, we are here to provide resources and guidance for individuals and families.

Autism can impair a person’s ability to communicate, learn in typical ways, and tolerate sensory input.  Loud noises, certain clothing, certain foods, or changes in routines can be debilitating to a person with autism.  It can be expressed by lack of eye contact, repetitive movements and uncontrollable outbursts. Some people may have exceptional abilities in one area, such as math, but lack basic skills.

Founded by parents of children with autism in 1989, Autism Connections provides practical help, information, and advocacy for children and adults living in western Massachusetts.  Autism Connections is a program of Pathlight. Since 1989, the demand for our services has increased by 900% while our funding from state contracts has only increased 10%. Through grants and generous donations by people like you, we are able to continue to help individuals in our community.

Your donation will extend far beyond the 24hours of Valley Gives Day. Give from the heart today and impact the future of a child or adult.

As an added incentive to give from the heart, we have a prize for one lucky donor! Once we hit 100 donations, we will give away two (2) 2017 Stepping Out for Autism Fundraising Gala  tickets to a randomly-selected donor!
