“ACT Raising Safe Kids Program” will enhance tools for empowering families to overcome adversity by developing self-awareness through safe parenting, to include mindfulness, and conflict resolution.

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can last a lifetime. Prevention is possible and the APA ACT program is an educational tool for parents and caregivers of young children to teach positive change. World Health Organization recognizes this program as one of only three parenting programs in the “Handbook for Parenting Programmes” and by the CDC Division of Violence Prevention.

This fundraising campaign is to introduce a new educational tool known by the APA as “ACT Raising Safe Kids Program” as this complements the programs Community Social Solutions have established.

The purpose is inclusion.  "ACT Raising Safe Kids Program"  is about having conversations and providing educational tools that will change ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) to PCEs (positive childhood experiences). In doing this, we are taking action to prevent family violence through parenting education, which goes hand-in-hand with additional resources such as Mind Matters and mediation. Each educational tool offered has a universal approach, is evidence-based, and successful fundraising will benefit low-wealth  families.
