Community Vision Inc

Since 1989, Community Vision has been empowering people with disabilities to live, work and thrive in the community of their choice. We are the largest nonprofit organization in Oregon that focuses on providing individualized housing, supported living, meaningful employment and home ownership services to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our work is guided by the belief that all people, regardless of perceived ability, deserve the freedom to make the basic choices that define their lives. Individuals live in their own home and we tailor our direct support around their unique needs, assisting each person to live in the community of their choice. Our person-centered planning approach increases dignity and personal agency, recognizes everyone’s human potential, and affects profound change in how each individual leads his or her life.

Community Vision is launching its most ambitious project in our 25-year history to develop a 25,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art universally accessible building that will help make more dreams possible for more individuals living with disabilities. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is called Building Big Dreams: Seven Corners Community Collaborative Capital Campaign.

A feature of the Seven Corners Community Collaborative building is the assistive technology lab and will be the first of its kind in the Pacific North-West. Community Vision's goal is to create a space for individuals experiencing disabilities to connect and actively participate in their own homes, schools, work environments and communities. We hope this lab will provide individuals with the support they need to achieve their dreams through assistive technology.
