Mission

Comprehensive Therapy Center's mission is to meet the therapeutic and educational needs of children with disabilities or children at-risk, through skill building, academic enhancement and social emotional support. We help children to walk, talk, learn and play.

Programs

Comprehensive Therapy Center's summer outreach program, Therapy and Fun, provides intensive therapy for children with disabilities. The majority of the children are economically disadvantaged or at-risk. Clients receive 3 hours of therapy 3 days a week for 7 weeks. Children are paired with a teenage mentor to practice their new skills each day. Parents attend weekly support meetings and receive much needed respite. Most of the children have State supported insurance and are victims of abuse/neglect or have genetic/developmental disorders. Since 1982, Therapy and Fun has served over 700 children with disabilities. During each school year our therapists work in schools, serving over 250 special education students. Our agency provides year round therapy for children with developmental or cognitive impairments and learning disabilities. Our professional staff includes speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, school social workers, school psychologists, and special education teachers.
