Incorporated in 1975, CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ is marking our 40th Anniversary providing free-of-charge crisis support, 365 days a year.

We are celebrating by launching TxtToday, a confidential and anonymous national text message crisis line, to increase the availability and use of mental health support to teenagers and young adults.

Talking on the phone is the least preferred method of help-seeking communication for those under 25, but young people do reach out for help if it is done anonymously via text. TxtToday will encourage people—particularly young people—to seek help sooner, before daily stress turns to suicide.

With $55,000, CONTACT of Mercer County can launch TxtToday for a full year.

  • Can help more users simultaneously and easily make referrals to support close to home
