Continue Mission

Continue Mission was co-founded by Sergeant Josh Hansen (US Army Retired) in August 2014. Josh had joined the Army after the events of September 11, 2001 at the age of thirty. He closed the doors to his business, JH Racing, and served two tours of duty in Iraq. While on route clearance in Iraq Josh’s vehicle sustained eight direct hits by IEDs over a seven-month time period, which caused multiple traumatic injuries. Josh lost six great men in combat before returning home for a challenging healing process.

While struggling to find the drive to enjoy life again, Josh lost four men to suicide here at home. He decided as it was his duty to lead in combat, he needed to continue to lead and serve Veterans here at home. Josh, along with Laura Cantin and his wife, Melissa Hansen, founded Continue Mission to provide a much needed service for our Veterans.

The volunteer staff at Continue Mission aim to involve Veterans and their families in recreational and education programs and are dedicated to raising mental health awareness and taking an active role in suicide prevention.
