Contra Costa Midrasha

Celebrate Contra Costa Midrasha's (CCM) impacts on Jewish teens in Contra Costa County.  CCM aims to create Jewish connection and engagement for teens in our area.  In today's world, teens don't have a lot of time to connect about the big issues in life - how to connect with others in healthy relationships and ways, how to connect to their dreams and how to connect to their own sense of spirituality.  CCM provides the time and space for teens to connect about these issues - to have those conversations with each other, facilitated by caring Jewish adults who know how to draw the lines of connection - making Jewish values relevant to today's Jewish teens.  Teens in our program call it...

Our teens spend each Wednesday night together - learning, socializing and connecting.  Weekend retreats happen three times a year - a chance to celebrate Shabbat as a Jewish teen community.  Our teens also spend time in Israel, learning about Israel on the ground - its people, culture, history and beautiful places.

CCM provides a place to grow leaders - teaching about the values of tzedakah (justice) and philanthropy - and giving back to our community through Days of Service.
