Cooking With Gabby

Cooking With Gabby is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by Steven & Lisa Vasquez. Our mission is to fight childhood obesity and the diseases associated with obesity, in low-income communities. Moreover, Cooking With Gabby not only seeks to ensure children are not hungry but that every child has access to healthy food.

Using our unique E.A.T. Philosophy -- Education + Activity = Total Healthy -- we educate children, families and communities on the benefits of healthy eating by providing healthy culinary and nutrition education. By incorporating sports and dance into our program, we encourage children to lead active lifestyles. Cooking with Gabby has joined forces with the Los Angeles Chapter, National Basketball Retired Players Association offering basketball camps to children enrolled in our 4- and 9-week programs at no charge to participants. Our dance and musical theater program is another integral part of our active lifestyle campaign. Cooking With Gabby sponsors the GoodLife With Gabby Dance Krew who educates our children through dance, exercise and musical theater while having amazing fun!
