Coralated Inc.

Coralated Inc. is a Florida-based non-profit that aims to draw attention to an undervalued and yet critical part of our ecosystem, the coral reef. 

In the last few decades, as a result of warming oceans, pollution, and disease, Florida’s coral reefs have lost the majority of their living coral, putting marine life, coastal protection, and local livelihoods at risk. Coralated Inc. seeks to protect those reefs and subsequently the coastlines, fisheries, and communities that rely so heavily on their health. 

Founder Erin Tharp grew up on the coast of California, with a penchant for science born from her time as a Girl Scout. It is this experience that inspired her commitment to educate other children and young girls about the importance of healthy marine environments. Lead by the conviction that every young person deserves the chance to connect with the ocean, Erin hopes that Coralated Inc. will help to lay the foundation for young people everywhere to build the curiosity and confidence that leads people to protect what they love.

Funds raised will support Coralated Inc.'s education and outreach efforts, including the creation and distribution of educational materials, books, and digital resources, as well as learning programs that bring ocean education into classrooms, youth organizations, and communities. Through education, access, and empowerment, we hope to build a future where children and young people grow into informed educators, scientists, and advocators of our planet.
