Coro de Cámara, a premiere auditioned chamber choir based in Los Alamos, excites audiences with multi-media performances of the best in choral music. In addition to performing music from a variety of genres and time periods, our performances incorporate poetry readings, slide presentations, theatre, and storytelling to surround and intensify the audience experience. Our recent "Time to... Heal," concert, featuring Morten Lauridsen's sublime "Lux Aeterna" at its centerpiece, invoked the following response from a listener:  “Coro's soul- stirring concert was a stand-out example of the power of music ... The group wielded this power with not only Coro's signature technical prowess, but also the tenderness and finesse that was necessary to take the souls of the audience members on a journey out of the venue, and into the depth their own sorrows and concerns ... Thanks for reminding me exactly what music is capable of doing in the hands of people who know how to use it.”

Like all musical performance ensembles, tickets pay for only a quarter of Coro's operating budget.  To continue to deliver high-quality experiences to our audiences and to expand our reach into the broader community, we depend on the generosity of our donors.  No contribution is too small, and we are deeply grateful for every dollar we receive.  We are committed to being vigilant stewards of each donor's contribution.  Supporters can donate a ticket to an audience member or a military veteran who cannot afford to pay ($25), sponsor the purchase of a piece of music for an upcoming concert ($100), or provide support for our operations in any amount.  Employees of Los Alamos National Laboratory can receive a 50% match for their donation from United Way by participating in LANL's employee giving program.  Some supporters donate through their Donor Advised Funds or Required Minimum Distributions, receiving tax advantages (check with your financial advisor for details). Join us for the rest of 2023-24 concert series, "Seasons of Life." featuring our pops concert, "Time to... Dance" on February 17 and 18 and "Time to... Love," on May 4 and 5.  Each concert weekend, we perform in both Los Alamos and Santa Fe.  We offer special pricing for college students ($10), people under the age of 18 (free), and people who can't afford to pay (free).  No one is turned away!
