The Arts Center’s Mission is to integrate arts into community life through dynamic collaborations, innovative outreach programs, diverse exhibitions and cultural events, and creative educational opportunities. 

Our Vision: Arts at the Center of Life, means fostering lifelong arts education and opportunities for arts participation, and engaging in collaborations that enrich community life.

Onsite programs welcome over 13,000 people to 16 thought provoking arts exhibits, produce engaging community events, expose youth to world cultures through creative arts programming in after school classes and camps, and provides a marketplace for 60-80 local and regional artists through the ArtShop.

Outreach includes integrated arts education in the public schools, and art experiences for youth at a youth homeless shelter, a sobriety center, and a corrections facility for young women. ArtsCare is a nationally recognized program that places art and music professionals in healthcare facilities to provide arts services that promote mental and emotional health for 7000 patients, their families and health care workers. The Art in Rural Storefronts project places contemporary art installations in rural empty storefronts, and works with local artists and civic leaders to turn these signs of economic downturn into places of community pride.
