Court Appointed Special Advocates

On an average day in Washoe County, more than 900 abused and neglected children live in foster care because they cannot live safely at home.  These children need powerful voices to speak for them.  The Washoe CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Foundation is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors that supports the Wahoe CASA program which is managed by the Second Judicial Family Court.  The foundation provides funding for volunteer training, recruiting, and creating greater public awareness.  The Washoe County Foundation also donates educational supplies, clothing, items to support extracurricular activities and gifts to children in foster care. 

Help us make sure every abused/neglected child in need in Washoe County has a CASA volunteer.
