Mission

Philanthropic support has become vital to the surival and future growth of not-for-profit hospitals, including Cox Health Systems. The Cox Healthcare Foundation grew out of a need to be able to have funds available for the continued support and expansion of hospital programs, services and technologies that our patients demand and deserve for their quality of life.

Programs

The Cox Healthcare Foundation has an unrestricted fund that supports the areas of greatest need within the hospital system, a Good Samaritan Fund which helps financially challenged patients pay their bills, the Bethlehem Fund for high risk expectant mothers who have limited resources and endowments for specific areas of interest including but not limited to senior services, women's services, nursing, cardiac, cancer and diabetes. The Foundation has a granting process each year where community organizations that provide medical assistance can also apply for support. In 1999, Automatic External Defibrillators were donated to 40 first-responder groups in the Ozarks.
