CREATE Portage County nurtures vibrant communities that believe in all people. We seek out and activate a key asset—the creativity of local people and places—left untapped by too many communities. Our work impacts workforce attraction, the creative economy, social justice, entrepreneurship, arts & culture, and more, connecting communities to their own potential and providing the support to make those possibilities real. We shift cultures to achieve results! 

At CREATE, we believe community building organizations must also take responsibility for dismantling system and challenging attitudes that limit access to the benefits of that built community. We are participating in A Community Thrives to shift the power we have within our nonprofit to the wealth of Black, Indigenous, and POC leaders in our community so that they can direct our work and produce real change!
