Our mission is to raise money and facilitate vet services to ensure that our local rescue animals get the necessary medical care that they deserve. Since COVID began and pet ownership surged, we became more community based to help out new owners with unexpected medical emergencies. We also assist in community TNR projects and make donations to other organizations when an unexpected hardship or major expenditure occurs.

When we began, the dogs in our local shelters receive only the basics in veterinary care. Frequently, a dog is sick or injured and the needs of the dog or cat exceeded the ability of the shelter vets. We relied on social media to bring awareness to the plight of these animals and asked for help in funding off-site medical visits and procedures. These medical needs exceeded what the shelter would provide and our taking on their care prevented unnecessary euthanasia. This group was formed to help create a way to spread awareness of the needs of the animals here in Maricopa County and open people's eyes that a need that may exist in their own backyard and raise money to cover the expenses. Volunteers hosted fundraisers, scheduled medical appointments and transportation if necessary, and fostered the animals until they were healthy and adoptable. We then networked the animals for adoption and kept them out of the shelter system and helped transition them into their forever homes. We have provided medical care for over 150 animals that needed immediate attention from outside vets. As medical care has improved within the shelter system and different constraints have been placed on the rescue community regarding the local shelter system, we began assisting existing local rescues with fundraising and networking for their animals with medical needs. We will also run a Compassionate Assistance Program called 'Drew's Fund' to help members of the community when a medical crisis occurs.
