Crescent City Family Services is a community-based nonprofit organization founded in 2008 on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish in Gretna, Louisiana, dedicated to strengthening families and improving health outcomes across Greater New Orleans and surrounding parishes. Its mission centers on providing nutrition services, education, and referrals specifically to women, infants, children, and families, with a focus on those at high risk for adverse health outcomes like maternal and infant mortality. A cornerstone of its work is the WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program, which offers supplemental nutrition, breastfeeding support, healthy food benefits via the Louisiana eWIC card, and connections to additional health resources. 

Beyond WIC, Crescent City Family Services administers a range of supportive initiatives — from a food pantry and diaper bank addressing basic needs to partnerships like Healthy Start to Head Start that promote early childhood development, the Family Daycare Home Food Program that supports quality child care and nutrition, and the Community Action Network (C.A.N. DO) that brings together agencies and community members to collaboratively improve social, health, and economic opportunities. Through compassionate, non-judgmental care and community collaboration, the organization empowers families with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive.
