With a mission to support, empower, and recognize the human dignity of those affected by incarceration, our dedicated staff and volunteers provide programs and services that help justice-involved individuals rebuild their lives, reunite with their families, and reintegrate into their communities.
Who We Serve
CJM supports justice-involved individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the St. Louis community. Our programs are inclusive and open to individuals of all backgrounds, providing tailored assistance to address the unique challenges they face.
Housing-First Reentry Support
Release to Rent (R2R) Program: CJM's housing-first model provides immediate stability to individuals newly released from incarceration.

Fully Furnished Apartments: Clients are placed in CJM-owned or operated apartments immediately upon release, ensuring a safe and stable living environment.

Graduated Rent Model: Housing is free for the first two months, with gradual client contributions starting in the third month, increasing by 10% monthly.

Transition-In-Place (TIP): Clients can assume responsibility for their lease after completing the program, creating a seamless path to independent living.
Wraparound Support Services: CJM ensures holistic care for clients to rebuild their lives:

FIRST Services (Immediate Reentry Support)
CJM offers essential support for individuals upon release from incarceration:

Transportation Assistance: Bus passes to ensure mobility for work, appointments, and daily needs.

Backpacks of Essentials: Includes toiletries, clothing, and personal items to ease the transition.

Identification Assistance: Helping clients secure IDs and other vital documents.

Rental Assistance: For individuals unable to participate in R2R, helping them secure housing.
Pre-Release Services
CJM works with individuals before release to ensure a smooth transition back into society:
