Crossroads School

The mission of Crossroads School is to assist students, who have experienced academic and/or behavioral struggles in traditional schools, to reach their potential through an individually distinctive, learner-appropriate program.  We accomplish this by implementing the following core principles:

• Surrounding students with adult mentors and individual support
• Focusing on each individual’s distinctive needs, in learner-appropriate ways
• Assisting students in identifying and changing negative habits that jeopardize their future
• Equipping students with the skills needed to positively impact their community
• Providing an effective educational experience that will allow all students to learn

 

Crossroads is a school with a unique vision for the Longmont Colorado area. Crossroads opened its doors in August of 2010 with a desire to reach those students who have struggled in a traditional school or who find that a traditional school doesn’t meet their needs.

The mission of Crossroads School is to assist families in equipping students to reach their individual potential. Crossroads is committed to offering an environment that provides for growth and responsibility by creating individualized strategies for every student.

Crossroads School is the product of a vision of four educators with over sixty years of combined experience.  Their vision is to meet the critical need for alternative education in the Boulder County area. Throughout Boulder County, at risk teens who have experienced academic or behavioral struggles face an unpromising and insecure future.

Crossroads has a plan to change and reshape the future of these at risk teens:  to offer an alternative source for solid education, to offer a second and sometimes third chance to students who need that extra support, to provide an educational experience that will provide students with the foundational tools needed for success in the future.

Crossroads School is built on a foundation of Christian faith. All students are welcome to enroll, regardless of their beliefs, but it is our hope that they will experience the love and transforming power of Jesus Christ while they attend our school.
