In 2005 on a missionary outreach in the Dominican Republic, we were able to see the horrific and blighted conditions of the people, struggling with day-to-day survival. Our hearts welled with compassion for these precious people and their communities. Crucial World Changers are currently involved in several missionary aid relief projects in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Our project is Casa de Luz y Amor - The Light and Love Project. The project is centered on the outskirts of the city of La Vega in a suburb called Barrio Inco, one of many poverty stricken areas in the country. Numerous basic needs exist in this village: poverty, inadequate health care, a lack of clean drinking water and inaccessible education for the poor.

Recently we have been presented with an awesome opportunity to purchase a building for our project. We are in a race against time. We need to raise in 5 months $50,000 US total needed for our school and community training center land.

We currently have 60 students with over 100 more on the waiting list and a Haitian community that also wants help through this initiative. We are now in our third location in less than a year.  Each time we renovate and settle into the Casa De Luz building, the owner decides sell it. Our current facility has a single large room and two smaller rooms. The new community center would give us four large rooms and nine smaller rooms. This would be an amazing opportunity to grow and change the lives of so many more. We are asking if it is in your heart to allow these children and families to live another day in this condition or help them take a step towards prosperity. Be a world changer today.
