Crystal Roses Incorporated

Crystal Roses provides “Comfort Totes” filled with practical items women need as they face life-threatening medical conditions. Some of the items include a personal cup, tissue, lip balm, lotion, beanies, journals and many other comforting items. Each tote is delivered free of charge and has an approximate value of $100. The cost to purchase these individual items may be small, but to the woman fighting for survival these costs continue to add up.  When you add these costs to the cost of gas and medical co-payments to go to doctor’s appointments and maybe necessary babysitting, it can seem daunting to meet all of the demands.  We want to help alleviate some of the worry, so the women can focus on their health. Some of the women may face their treatment without a support network.  We desire to be their cheerleaders so no one woman feels alone.  We prefer to hand deliver each tote in order to create an opportunity to talk and offer additional support.  The tote is a wonderful opportunity to open the door to being their personal cheerleader.

Crystal Roses was founded in October 2011 by Sheila Romanski.  Ms. Romanski is a four-time, 18 year cancer survivor.  The Crystal Roses team is comprised of survivors representing approximately 45 years of survivorship, as well as, care-givers.
