Our programs include:

PORTALS - Serves families and children by addressing family preservation needs for families referred by the Regional VIII Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Services include parenting education, family skill building and visit coaching for families reported for child abuse and neglect to DCFS.

KINSHIP NAVIGATOR - The Kinship Navigation Program (KNP) was established to address and coordinate the needs of families who are raising relative children. Increasingly, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and cousins are assuming the responsibility for the birth parent role, when that parent is unable or unwilling to raise their child in an appropriate manner. Support of the families includes coordinating linkages with needed services such as educational, financial, legal, behavioral health, parenting skills and almost any other important service that enhances the stability of the child in relative care.

PROJECT REACH II - A permanent support housing program for chronically homeless who may have other conditions. It has the capacity to serve 38 participants. Income is not a prerequisite of admission. Reach II staff assist participants in defining housing needs/preferences and develop individual service plans that reflect the needs. Supportive services focus on assisting participants with meeting their lease terms. Staff work with participants in overcoming barriers by advocating for public benefits, vocational and employment programs, mental health/substance abuse treatment, etc.

CROSSROADS II - Permanent supportive, community-based housing for 16 individuals who are chronically homeless and may have other conditions.

IMPACT - Permanent supportive, community-based housing for 26 chronically homeless single men, women and families that are in recovery and/or substance abusing and/or mentally ill and/or physically disabled.

SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE - Rent support to low-income adults who have a household member between the age of 18-61 and has a disability.

CORA M ALLEN TOWNHOMES - 12 townhomes including eight two bedroom and four three bedroom units offering housing opportunities for households earning up to 80 percent or less of the area's median income.

CONSUMER CARE RESOURCES - Provides funding for atypical expenditures necessary to meet extraordinary needs of adults and children/youth and families served through NLHSD Community Behavioral Health Clinics or contracted programs.

TRANSPORTATION - Provides transportation to Non-Medicaid Northwest Louisiana Human Services District (NLHSD) recipients to behavioral health appointments in Region VII.

LAPFS II - Louisiana Partnerships for Success (LaPFS) is grounded in the rich racially, culturally and economically diverse population, while effectively addressing major challenges in substance abuse and mental health. LaPFS initiatives target the reduction in underage drinking and prescription drug misuse and abuse in the identified high need community of Sabine Parish.

FOOD PANTRY - Provides food to individuals who meet specific USDA criteria and reside within the 71101 zip code area. Individuals can access this program once in a three month period.
