The Cynthia Smith HeARTS Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through the power of the arts. Founded in honor of Cynthia Smith, a lifelong champion of creativity, education, and community, the Foundation provides accessible arts programming across Miami-Dade County for children, youth, adults, and seniors.

Through music, dance, visual arts, drama, folklore, fashion design, crafts, African drumming, steel band, and emerging technologies such as 3D printing, participants are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and build confidence. The Foundation is committed to serving under-resourced and historically marginalized communities, creating inclusive spaces that foster self-expression, cultural pride, and overall well-being.

To expand its impact, the Foundation seeks to launch a summer arts enrichment program that will provide youth with a safe, engaging environment during out-of-school months while also creating opportunities for meaningful intergenerational engagement with seniors.

A $50,000 investment will enable the Foundation to:

• Serve 200+ children, youth, and seniors annually
• Provide 1,000+ hours of arts education and enrichment
• Employ 8-10 local teaching artists and cultural practitioners
• Expand access to music, dance, visual arts, digital arts, and cultural programming
• Launch summer arts programming that keeps youth learning, engaged, and inspired
• Create intergenerational opportunities that bring seniors and youth together through the arts
• Equip participants with modern tools, technology, and creative skills
