Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation Inc

With community residents leading the way, the mission of Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC( is to build a strong, sustainable Cypress Hills/East New York, where youth and adults achieve educational and economic success, secure healthy and affordable housing, and develop leadership skills to transform their lives and community.

CHLDC was founded in 1983 by a group of local residents and activists. We serve over 9,000 individuals each year through services including afterschool programs and summer camp, college access counseling, employment skills training and job placement, housing counseling, and affordable housing development. We also help community members organize to advocate for school and housing improvements.
