Danbury Westerners Baseball Club

The Danbury Westerners is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization striving to enhance our community through affordable, family-friendly baseball entertainment.  Our goal is to provide a rewarding summer experience for all Westerners players, coaches, host families, interns, volunteers, sponsors, honorees and fans.

Did you know?

• Each year the Westerners host a free baseball clinic for our young fans
• Each Westerners home game honors a not-for-profit or other service organization
• All current or former  military personnel are admitted for free to our games
• The Westerners are advocates of literacy, and for the past five seasons have donated thousands of tickets to local libraries and elementary schools to promote reading through our ERA (Eager Readers Achieve) program
• The Westerners support our not-for-profits throughout the year by donating prize packages, which include free tickets, merchandise, and an opportunity to throw out a first pitch or take batting practice with the team?
• The Westerners, and Westy, make numerous appearances during the summer at elementary schools, nursing homes and other venues

The cost of running this elite summer collegiate baseball program is high.  Each season we go through approximately 100 wooden bats and 1,000 baseballs, and incur significant costs for busing, facilities, equipment, umpires, player meals, marketing, and league fees.  

We're proud to launch the Westerners’ "Friends, Families and Fans Program."  Please consider making a donation to help the Westerners.  Donations of any amount, large or small, from individuals and/or businesses are deeply appreciated and are tax deductible. A receipt for tax purposes will be provided upon request. Every donor of $250 or more will receive a 2017 Danbury Westerners’ Season Pass, and a team autographed baseball, as well as recognition in our yearbook.
