Our mission is to actively support Minnesota and Wisconsin Military members, their spouses and children through the availability of financial scholarship assistance. The Soldier or immediate family member must be pursuing an educational goal toward Law Enforcement. The memorial fund promotes the values of: Freedom, Opportunity, Responsibility, Compassion, and Morality.

In order to accomplish this mission, the fund will provide assistance to selected and approved applicants who qualify. With available funds, scholarships will be awarded twice per calendar year, March and September. One hundred percent of your charitable donation is awarded in the form of financial scholarships.

Specialist Daniel Paul Drevnick joined the Army National Guard in 2005. He was at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri for both Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training. Dan became a MP with the Military Police Unit assigned to Stillwater Minnesota.

Dan worked at a local mechanics shop and attended Century Collage in the Criminal Justice Program. Dan’s career goal was to be a Minnesota State Trooper.

Specialist Daniel Paul Drevnick was deployed to Basra Iraq, leaving home on March 2, 2009. Dan was full of life and had a socially gifted spirit. He had the ability to be-friend the new-guy and the salty old sergeant. His comrades said Dan always was there when needed, to listen, boost morale and get things done.

On July 16, 2009, at 9:15 PM a hostile rocket (indirect fire) was launched into the compound. Three American Heroes died in the attack, SPC James Wertish, SPC Carlos Wilcox, and SPC Daniel Drevnick.
