Darby Residents Association

Dear Supporter,

We are a small group of neighbors who have been volunteering to improve the quality of life for residents in Darby Borough.  We have started by:

• planting and maintaining trees as the Darby Tree Tenders
• planting and tending perennial gardens in public spaces
• cleaning up trash and sidewalks

We also:

• sponsor and work with local schools and students on plantings and environmental education
• support our local library
• decorate the Darby Post Office for holidays
• engage our neighbors to create a healthier community

Future plans are to start a weekly outdoor market fair in downtown Darby, and sponsor town-wide cleanup and beautification projects & competitions. 

We currently maintain 12 sites in Darby, including the Pennwood Middle School, The Darby Post Office, and Darby Transportation Center, and 200 newly planted trees at the Darby Friends Meeting (thanks to a grant from DCNR). It is a lot of work!

Your donation will help us pay for more plants, trees, education and other materials.  Our labor is free :)
