DARRO CARAVAN DEDICATED TO ASSISTING GODS SPECIAL CHILDREN INC.

Through our social and fraternal work we enhance the quality of life for the intellectually and developmentally disabled and memorialize persons, places and events significant to our catholic heritage.

Our service includes: donations to private schools educating developmentally disabled children and providing them with vocational skills; participating in Special Olympics; conducting recreation, field day programs and summer camps; providing field trips, boat rides, zoo trips, circus trips, picnics, Christmas parties, dinner dances, etc.

Each year, our local New Orleans group plans and hosts a picnic at City Park Amusement Park. Over 500 special needs children and teachers attend. Children enjoy a day riding rides and hot dogs, snacks, and drinks are served to everyone who attends. We also plan and host 5 dinner/dances throughout the year at no cost to any attendees.
