Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation Inc

The Sea Lab is the marine laboratory for the State of Alabama. It serves as the marine science program for twenty-one colleges and universities in the state of Alabama.  In addition to college and graduate students the Sea Lab provides marine science programs for children in grades K5-12. The Sea Lab is also home to nationally acclaimed researchers who play an important role in supporting the health and welfare of our beautiful bay and coastline

Most recently;

1. The Foundation has secured funds for a new high tech classroom complete with smart boards and new computers. 

2. Provided funds to aid Mantee research

3. We have secured funding for a ray and shark petting tank so the public can get to know these creatures better

4. We have supported programs for the marine graduate students

5. Secured funding for an exhibit at the Estuaruiam describiing the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

6. Secured funding for children in Mobile County in middle school to attend a workshop on remote operating vehicles which shows the link between science and applied technology
