Davidson Community Players

Davidson Community Players’ vision is to be the region’s premiere community theatre; expanding its performance season to include both year-round adult theatre productions and on-going children's programming, including workshops and performances, as part of our youth division, The Connie Company.

Our Main Stage series currently includes five productions annually. The Connie Company Youth Series includes three shows for young people. Productions appeal to a diverse age range. Actors in both main stage and youth productions are community of all ages who work under the direction of professional directors and staff. Backstage and production crews are also comprised of community volunteers working under professional designers and staff.

Davidson Community Players’ primary outreach and education programming is through The Connie Company under Education Coordinator, Katie Williams. Summer workshops and year-round classes are held for children ages 4 - 18 years and culminate in a variety of sharings or performances. Additionally The Connie Company performs annually at Christmas in Davidson and other community events. Our touring production, Connie Company On the Fly, features our oldest and most experienced youth actors performing an original production that brings the audience onto the stage to take part in favorite tales such as Caps for Sale and Stone Soup.
