Your support of DC Scholars PCS will allow us to provide a safe and enriching learning environment for each of our pre-Kindergarten to 8th-grade students.  We are currently seeking individual, corporate, and foundation funding for:

• Additional Intervention Teachers
• A safer and more engaging playground
• Additional partners for our Community School model to support behavioral health
• An entrepreneurship program for Middle School students

Our Story

DC Scholars Public Charter School (DCSPCS) opened its doors in Ward 7 of Washington, D.C. in 2012, serving students from preschool through 3rd grade. Each year until 2018, DC Scholars PCS added another grade. Today, DC Scholars PCS serves preschool through 8th grade students in a beautiful, renovated facility. In 2015, DC Scholars PCS underwent an extensive renovation and the campus now features state of the art technology in all classrooms, a new atrium, a stunning entrance, and all new HVAC. 

In fall 2016, DC Scholars officially added a middle school division (grades 5th - 8th) in addition to its elementary division, consisting of pre-kindergarten to 4th grade. The School Director and Director team are under the leadership and direction of a Head of School. 

DC Scholars has a dedicated and experienced team of teachers during the traditional school day as well as during before and after school programming. The DC Scholars After School includes a breadth of clubs and opportunities for scholars, such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and track teams; a Student Government Association; National Junior Honor Society; and a Yearbook Club.
