Giving diapers may seem like a little thing, but for a baby and a family without access to a supply of clean diapers, it can change their lives.

• Babies need 10-12 diapers a day, toddlers need about 8
• It can cost up to $120 a month for diapers 
• Diapers are not covered by food stamps
• Babies that remain in one diaper all day are at risk for infections and abuse

The DC Diaper Bank works with social service organizations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia to provide diapers to low income families.  We began this work a year ago in October 2011 with a pretty simple vision: Provide diapers to babies who need them. In twelve short months we have accomplished a lot due to incredible community support, including:

- partnered with 9 incredible organizations to get diapers to babies and families in need

- donated more than 65,000 diapers, cases upon cases of wipes, and hundreds of tubes of diaper cream to families in DC, MD and VA

- hosted more than two dozen diaper drives

- laid the foundation to help families for a long time

We are doubling our distribution network in the coming months and need YOUR help to reach even more families!
