DD Cosplay Club

The dDominator Cosplay Club, dD Cosplay Club for short, was created in 2022 for persons with disabilities to promote engagement in life with a passion and to break down the barriers limiting persons with disabilities from inclusion in cosplay. Our efforts are 100% volunteer-based and funded entirely by donations. Clear benefits include the enhancement of health and well-being through socialization and creative/critical thinking, a boost to self-confidence and self-esteem, family engagement, and the creation of superheroes who have disabilities because the world is a better place with them.

Our service goals include; hosting monthly cosplay club meetings and assisting/mentoring new cosplay clubs, taking club members to WonderCon, producing dDominator Studios short movies based on dDominator Comics, and hosting the annual dD Cosplay Swagway...a red carpet runway experience.

Currently we host one club but with your help we hope to support 1 to 2 more local clubs every year. Our funding currently limits us to producing 2 movies a year but with your help we hope to double that and let more and more persons with disabilities see themselves as movie stars. We sent 6 club members to WonderCon this year but need your help to double that for next year. And our annual celebration of cosplay, Cosplay Swagway, is a party needing your help to grow to benefit more persons with disabilities and show Long Beach what they can do.
