DHHSC’s mission is to empower deaf and hard of hearing individuals to advocate, seek equality, and promote self-determination through empowerment for those who seek our assistance; and to enhance the awareness and understanding of Deaf Culture and the unique communication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.

Our organization largely consists of deaf and hard of hearing professionals who believe in giving back to their community. We want to make a difference for our peers. We want to contribute our part of the solution to barriers that our deaf and hard of hearing community faces. Each one of us that has dedicated time toward this agency believes in our mission. We also believe in the compassion of others and feel confident that if enough people knew about or organization and why we are here, we could see genuine change happen.
