Deep Water Soul Care

Deep Water Soul Care offers affordable 1-on-1 online sessions and professionally guided adventure trips to help people heal.  Using Internal Family Systems (a therapeutic modality), Soul Care and experiential learning, our purpose it to provide safe, healing, experiences in nature.  

Internal Family Systems is a very gentle but powerful therapeutic modality.  You access the IFS model whenever you have thought or said, "there is a part of me that feels..."  IFS works with those parts in your internal system that drive the way you live your life.  IFS reduces shame by being able to assign hurtful actions to a part of you, not all of you.  For Example, My wife and I work full time and raise three beautiful, wild children.  I have a young part of me that was neglected by my parents.  When my young neglected part feels left alone, my internal system can be triggered and I can pull for time from my wife.  My needy pull for time, trigger's my wife's hurt from her past, and we can spin into many rounds of arguing.  Through IFS, I am learning to break the cycle of pulling for time and arguing by getting to know that little neglected part.  As I care for my neglected part, medical studies have shown that new pathways are being formed in my brain.  Instead of feeling powerless, stuck and tormented in my own trauma, I have a choice to relate to my wife from a whole, grounded, strong, and loving place.  

 At Deep Water Soul Care we offer 1-on-1 online IFS sessions and professionally guided outdoor adventure trips: hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, climbing and soon wight-water rafting.  As most of you have experienced, when you spend time in the outdoors you often begin to reflect deeply about your life.  IFS combined with outdoor trips enhances and deepens your healing experience.  

After a two night winter hut trip a client named Angie said: "You're a gift to this world.  Somehow you were able to extract things inside of me that have been pent up for quite a while now.  It really opened my eyes up to a lot of what I've been holding inside and truly one of the best therapeutic experiences in my lifetime...I could just cry at the amount of emotion I feel from what I was given this weekend.  I literally feel like it was a reset in my life and it was exactly what I needed and I cannot thank you enough.  I'm impressed by your courage and the way that you are helping the world in this newfound position.  You are going to soar..."

At Deep Water Soul Care we are passionate about making our online sessions and outdoor trips affordable for everyone. Through donations we are able to keep our fees low.  Our passion is to make a way for all cultures and communities to have the ability to access healing online or through outdoor trips.  We have and will continue to partner with the BIPOC community to bring diversity into the wilderness.  This fall our goal is to raise $50,000.  Would you consider donating to Deep Water Soul Care?
