Deep Blue Academy

A nonprofit organization

As goes the resiliency of our Gulf Coast communities, so goes the future of Louisiana. Our mission at Deep Blue Academy is to empower Louisiana Estuary residents, policy makers, and business leaders through the development of interactive research and education resources focused on practical and innovative technologies and policies that build capacity for adaptive responses to the escalating realities of climate-induced land loss, flooding, and storm damage.

Deep Blue Academy is mobilizing a dynamic international network of top planetary science, technology, and policy experts to discuss and share solution sets for the preservation and protection of our gulf coast ecosystems, culture, and economy. Working on the front line, these global leaders are empowering at-risk coastal communities to effectively adapt their day-to-day lives and local maritime economies to the shifting shorelines and disruptive impacts of climate change.

Deep Blue is dedicated to ensuring that our world-famous Creole and Cajun cultural heritage, food, music, and fanfare, will continue to define the region for generations to come. Your host and New Orleans native, Greg Delaune, is an internationally recognized architect and urban planner, specializing in coastal infrastructure and the dynamics of the Blue Economy. Come learn from the experts, the practical tools and solution sets that will empower your community to adapt and thrive on this growing Blue Economy wave.
