The Del Ray Kinderchoir

The Del Ray Kinderchoir is a community choir for children in grades 1-4. Children experience the joy of group singing in a non-competitive environment, while striving for musical excellence.

With your Spring2Action support we will continue to offer a well-rounded and quality music education to children in our community at low cost. Your donations will help the Kinderchoir with regular rehearsal and performance expenses as well as payment for an accompanist. This spring, your 2017 donation will also help offset expenses associated with the Kinderchoir's appearance at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage with the Dearborn Community Chorus on May 3rd.

We believe music is a foundation for a healthy life and singing is a natural and sustainable way for children to embrace musicianship skills while fostering friendship.

Our choristers do more than just sing songs. They internalize and understand music through the voice -- an instrument that offers a uniquely holistic foundation to building strong musicianship skills.

Our rehearsals are filled with songs, movement, reading music, vocal exercises, and melodic and rhythmic improvisation skills.

Our singers are excited to share their talent and joy at community events like Art on the Avenue, Del Ray Aglow, and La Bella Strada.
