Denver Writes

A nonprofit organization

Denver Writes provides writing programs for young writers throughout the Denver area, we believe that these minds deserve to have spaces to express themselves through writing as well as partner with other young writers to share and collaborate. Many of our events are hosted by local authors who share their knowledge with our audience. Most of our programing is open to ages seven to sixteen.

At this time we offer three types of programing:

Afternoon Writing Clubs - We offer four drop in writing clubs, Mondays at Dayton Memorial Libary on the Regis Campus, Tuesdays at The Bookies Bookstore, Wednesdays at the Denver Public Library’s Smiley Branch, and Thursdays at Second Star to the Right Books.

Monthly Writing Workshops - each month we offer Saturday writing workshop on various writing themes and topics. We offer these workshops at The Bookies Bookstore and Second Star to the Right Books, as well as other partners for special event workshops, like our annual Scary Stories Workshop, which is hosted at The Denver Musuem of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys.

Summer Camps - We offer week long expeditionary summer camps during June and July on various theme to several age ranges. We partner with The Bookies Bookstore and Second Star to the Right Books to host these camps.
