Desert Art Center of Coachella Valley Inc

The Desert Art Center ( www.desertartcenter.org ) invites you to be an Art Angel by helping young artists pursue their talent in the visual arts whether it be for personal expression or a career in arts and design related fields. 

Public school arts programming has been slashed year after year causing DAC member artists to take action by offering young artist classes, scholarships and an annual art show opportunity. 

We invite you to help the Desert Art Center provide art and design instruction to young artists when public schools no longer can.  With some kids, art may be the single class that gives them purpose and the joy of learning. 

The Desert Art Center is operated exclusively by member artists, many of whom share their skills with young artists.  We provide six distinct art shows each season; including one for high school art students.  This will be the third year offering art instruction for middle school students who are at a critical time in discovering their talents.   

We raise funds to award $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who, without funding, cannot pursue higher education.  We also provide small art materials grants to art teachers who struggle with very limited art materials budgets. 

DAC is the oldest artist organization in the Coachella Valley; celebrating 65 years in operation in 2014-2015 season.  DAC invites you to be an Art Angel through a donation to DAC’s art education programming.
