Desert Foothills Land Trust Inc

Desert Foothills Land Trust connects people to nature by working with communities and partners to conserve and steward sensitive lands and species for the survival of our fragile Sonoran Desert. We protect important natural areas in the Arizona communities of Carefree, Cave Creek, north Scottsdale, north Phoenix, Anthem, New River and Desert Hills.  Since our formation in 1991, the Land Trust has permanently protected more than 680 acres on 23 preserves, many of which are open to the public for exploration and passive recreation. Events such as Desert Discovery Day and guided preserve tours allow us to connect community members to these special places, inspiring their love of nature.  In 2010, the Land Trust was awarded accredited status by the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission - a mark of distinction in the land trust community.
