The mission of Different Dynamics is to champion access to the life-changing power of music for people of all neurotypes and abilities.

Our dedicated team of certified music educators, musicians, special educators, and disability advocates create spaces for music-making and concert attendance that welcome neurodiversity and make music accessible to the different ways our musicians think, communicate, and see the world.

Who We Serve

We serve more than 2,000 people annually across the spectrum of neurotypes, abilities, and support levels. 

Why Music?

The Global Council on Brain Health reported that music has the power to improve our mental health and quality of life. The CDC reports that nationwide, an estimated 17.4 million adults with disabilities reported frequent mental distress. Through community music-making, we harness the power of music to improve mental health and quality of life. Healthy self-expression and authentic connection are powerful tools for mental and emotional well-being. Making music with others brings so much joy.
