Taproot Church

The Lord has placed us in an area of southeast Wisconsin (Silver Lake, Kenosha County) that even though it's very small town-ish, is spiritually just like any other place in the world - hurting, broken people who need Jesus. Here are some Jesus-Victories we have to share from the last year:

1. a 15 year old girl, self-proclaimed atheist whose sister is heavily into Wicca, receives Jesus as her Saviour at a Taproot Saturday night worship service, her younger sister received Jesus as Saviour at Taproot in 2010

2. a husband/dad in his 30's received Jesus as Saviour after a Taproot worship service & within a month both his teenage son & teenage daughter receive Jesus as their Saviour

3. a middle-aged woman broken by past abusive relationships, thinking that her lot in life is to be scared, depressed and without hope, comes to Taproot by invitation of Taproot members, receives Jesus as her Saviour after one of the worship services - Jesus has taken away her depression and hopelessness

People/Circumstances to Pray for:

1. a couple is experiencing demonic activity in their house - they want it to go away, but are resisting their realization/need for Jesus as Saviour that would give them the authority to tell the demons to leave their home

2. a woman with MS has become an escort in order to keep a roof over her and her daughter's heads and food on the table in order to live day to day - she needs to realize that she was created, is loved by God and that she has worth and value - that the Gospel and Jesus are indeed sufficient for her and her daughter

These are just a handful of the people we meet each day, here in Kenosha County. Real people, with real hurts/burdens that need to know of the love of Jesus, what He did for them on the Cross and how the Empty Tomb sealed Victory over sin, death and Satan.
