The Don Sjogren Community YMCA is more than a gym — it’s a cornerstone of health, hope, and connection for Holdrege and the surrounding communities. Located in the heart of south-central Nebraska, our Y core mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Every day, lives are changed within our walls. Children learn life-saving skills through swim lessons. Youth find confidence and mentorship through programs. Seniors stay active and connected through fitness and social activities. Families of all income levels find support and belonging, thanks to generous donors who believe, as we do, that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Each year, we proudly serve more than 3,000 members through programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our impact extends far beyond our membership, reaching thousands of individuals and families throughout Phelps County and the surrounding communities through free community events, outreach programs, partnerships, and community services.
