Douglas Gardens Community Mental Health Center of Miami Beach, Inc.

The Center provides a wide range of outpatient services to individuals living in Miami Beach and North Miami-Dade County. Services include psychiatric evaluation and medication management, outpatient and group mental health and substance abuse counseling, case management for individuals with a serious mental illness, domestic violence services, and employment services for individuals requiring support in obtaining and maintaining employment. Residential components of treatment include providing support and monitoring for individuals who require supervision and oversight in a homelike environment. Community housing is available in our own sponsor-based residential facility as well as tenant based apartments integrated in communities throughout Miami-Dade County. Our model of care is strength based and recovery focused. We utilize Peer Support Staff and employ Peers as part of the treatment team approach. A consumer-directed service of a Drop-In Center operated by our Peers made available to the general community for social and interactive outlets which is accepting and non-judgmental of its participants. We promote independence and physical well-being for those we serve and advocate the de-stigmatizing of mental health treatment and intervention.
