The Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky (DSACK) proudly celebrates serving families and community members of Central Kentucky since 1993. DSACK was created by a small group of parents who envisioned better opportunities for their children with Down syndrome. Today that vision has expanded, and we are pleased to provide many programs and services to area families, schools, and medical professionals.

We support and educate the families and professional in the area through hosting educational conferences for parents, teachers, therapists and medical professionals; publishing a bi-monthly magazine which celebrates accomplishments of individuals with Down syndrome and provides pertinent information for families and caregivers; presenting to school-age children re: acceptance of those with Down syndrome and other disabilities; speaking to first year medical students and therapy students, and holding at least four annual celebrations to bring together families and friends for support and advocacy.

We also host programs throughout the year to benefit our families such as: a job enrichment program to teach teens and adults with Down syndrome job skills and help them secure employment; an early learning math and literacy educational program committed to helping children with Down syndrome succeed; Strider Bike Camp to help teach our children with Down syndrome how to ride a bike; and art, exercise and dance classes to allow our members to discover more about their creativity and talents.
